Snapchat is an exceptional social networking app. Due to its fast-growing popularity, you’ll find that numerous different and fresh features are added frequently to the application. Even if you’re only a casual user of Snapchat, chances are, you’re also an active user of Snapchats on other networking platforms as well. And, inevitably, you’d like to customize the default sound of Snapchat on your phone.
Themes and Sounds:
If you’ve tried browsing for ways to customize the default Snapchat notification sound on android phones, you probably noticed that it’s not a whole lot of fun. There are some solid, workable options that allow you to do just about anything you’d like. That’s because many of the themes and sounds that are included with Snapchats are rather large in size and can take up a lot of space on your phone’s memory. So, how do you go about customizing the sounds of Snapchat without using more space on your phone? Fortunately, we have an easy solution!
In order to change the sound of your snaps on Android, you’ll first need to tap the “Open” button on the top left corner of the screen. This will bring out the official Snapchat app. Once you’ve done so, click on the + icon next to the right edge of the screen. This will open the customization options for the app. Here, you’ll find several choices to alter your notification sound.
Settings:
If you haven’t changed anything on your settings, there’s no need to do anything. This means that any of the default system notification sounds will play. If you like a particular preset, however, it might be best to explore that possibility. If you haven’t received a new notification yet, try tapping the + button next to your current one. This will play a new song randomly.
If you want a new song or other audio when you receive new notifications, there is another method you can use to customize your snaps. The easiest way to go about this, however, is to enable the Use custom music in the apps setting. To do this, simply touch the + sign in the upper right-hand corner of the app window. If you’re playing music from a particular artist or music group, this option should already be enabled.
Same Snap Multiple Times:
If you prefer a preset instead of a custom song, the second option to select is the Repeat option. With this handy feature, any of your snaps can be played repeatedly. This is probably the most useful feature of the Repeat option, especially if you are a fan of the same musical selections as the user. If you’ve already played the same snap multiple times, simply touch the + sign to rewind to a part where you played it earlier. If you need to preview any upcoming snaps before they appear, the + sign works just as well.
Option:
To change the sound option on your latest Snap, simply tap the + sign next to the clock or other icons that play sounds. For example, if you have an alarm clock, a bell, or another sound option, simply touch it to turn it on or off. When you want to preview something, touch the square where it appears. This will bring up a preview play screen, where you can see the exact time and location of the snapshot. If you’d rather preview multiple photos, touch the square again to bring up a larger selection. If you’d like to delete a snap, touch the x button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
Conclusion:
Changes to the system notification sound are easy to do. Just install the required version of the Google Android app, and you can have a brand new notification sound on your phone. This is an excellent way to customize the sounds and volume for your notifications, especially if you often use the Google Maps app. However, it is unclear whether the same feature works with the upcoming iPhone 6 or not.
